In my wife's 01 it wasn't easy, but I did get them by reaching in from the front and going by feel. I've seen others write about getting at them through the wheel well.

I have a 3.3 so I removed the upper alternator bracket and the intake bolts and replaced the gasket. You can then move the intake out of the way then.
Then just did the rears by feel. I also replaced wires at the same time.
took my time on the weekend. Also it is nice to have a stubby 3/8 ratchet and swivels and various extensions. saves on the nerves and the knuckles. A nice cool engine is best to do this on.

Thanks I ended up taken the top of the intake off and the windshield wiper assembley out . This made it pretty easy to get to and you can see what you are doing
