i had my compressor checked and the guy says it smells burnt and i am just wondering if there is a relay or some kind of switch that will make it so my light on the dash wont turn on and the compressor doesnt kick in with defrost or do i have bigger problems? any help or input would be very appreciated

did some more looking and can hear leak near front of van. is there an o-ring or gasket that may be leaking?has anyone had similar problems or know where to look first to avoid taking it to the doctor

I'm not sure what it means to say the compressor smells burnt. Is he saying the clutch is worn out? Does your A/C work? Does the system still have its charge?

compressor wont kick in but the system has no charge because i tried to charge it and hear a leak behind my grill somewhere, now the problem of finding and fixing is next. thank you for the reply
