I have a 98 caravan. I want to replace the motor on the left window vent in the rear. I have a replacement motor. How do I get into the panaling and get the old motor out. I don't want to wreck the interior. Do things snap out or have screws or bolts? Any help would be appreciated. :help:

To access the motor for the dirver's side rear window I recommend the following.

Remove the panel covering the wheel jack. You will see several screws holding the panel in place. Once you remove these screws, you should be able to gently pop out the rest of the panel.

I am about to replace my driver's side rear window motor for the second time.

Good Luck

Just curious where you get the motor from and how much $? Also is the procedure the same for the passenger side. Mine (2000) makes a gear noise when I close it which I think means it will soon make no noise!

If my memory serves me right, I had to get the window motor from the dealer for about $40.00. If you have a good salvage yard near by, you could probably pick one up for 1/3 of the cost.
The proceedure for accessing the passenger side window motor is very simular except for the tire jack compartment.

Wow, these motors suck. I had one go on the pass. side. Now, the driver side is sloooooowly dying.
