Brittney,
What will the car be used for? How many miles a year? Is gas mileage a problem? Do you have a family, parents, animals to drive around with?

I would like to know also too. How about the 19 MPG on the 6 cylinder. Do you think that's accurate? I heard it's an estimate. But then I read it's more true to life. I'm not a fast driver so it might be ok around the city for me. Thanks very much

The Avenger has the new 2008 gasoline mileage ratings. Starting in 2008 the MPG have been reduced and the tests are conducted "more accurately."

The MPG Ratings for the Avenger 2.7 V6 are:

2008: City 19 - Highway 27. If these rating were for 2007, they would be;
2007: City 22 - Highway 30.

These mileage figures are designed to COMPARE with other vehicles. So if you are looking at another 2007 model, then use the 22/30 figures.

Our last three tanks of city driving, to and from work, AND using E-85 were, 17, 18, & 19. So far, I think E-85 gets 3 MPG less than 87 octane gasoline. But, E-85 is $3.089 and 87 Octane is $3.559.

Does that answer your question?

See www.fueleconomy.gov for all questions.

Thanks for the great link. I had read about the 2007 ratings and I'll have to see how they tested cars (2007)to get those figures. I'm just curious. I think the mpg for city proably is pretty close to my old base model 89 Daytona. Thanks for your help.
