Does anyone know of a volt gauge that would fit in the factory location of the amp gauge in 1979 era truck. I would like to get rid of the old amp gauge yet keep the factory look of the dash.
Thanks in advance.

I think the factory volt gauge is smaller than the stock amp gauge. It goes in the left wing with a vacuum gauge, it was an option.

Never ever saw one that would plop right in... You pretty much have to cut a hole and install an aftermarket one in the left/right wing on the dash...

Yup... They were/are pretty itty-bitty gauges. Like an inch and 1/2, inch and 3/4's or there abouts. Very hard to find, BTW... :bawl: This was a not very 'opted for' option...

Thanks for the input. In all my adventures to the wreckers I don't think I've seen a set of the factory gauges. Maybe seen some on E-Bay. Guess I'll have to go aftermarket.
