I like the 3.5 liter the most since it has the most power available.
Most off all I like the 3.5, 3.2, and 2.7 liter versions since they are made and assembled right here in in the U.S.A.
I can't stand the Japenesse Mitsubishi 3.0 liter that is used in the Stratus. What a cheap way to build an American built car.
I hope Chrysler does not EVER do that to the Intrepid or whatever the new replacement is going to be in a few years.
Put your reply for the poll here!

I don't have an intrepid but I do have 3.5l H.O. in my wife's 300m. It puts as much hp to the ground as a 5.9l if not a little more.

I have the 3.5 LO in my 2002 ES. Only the R/T's come with the 3.5HO's. The 300M's also come with the 3.5 HO's as well.
It all depends on the year of your car to determine how much horsepower each motor puts out. Pyssed, what year is your wife's 300M?
For first Generations it goes as follows:
3.3L V6:
Type - OHV 12 valve
Fuel Delivery - Sequential Multi-Point Fuel Injection
Fuel Requirement - 87 octane unleaded
Net Power (1993) - 153 bhp @ 4800 rpm
Net Torque (1993) - 177 ft/lbs @ 3200 rpm
Net Power (1994+) - 161 bhp @ 5300 rpm
Net Torque (1994+) - 181 ft/lbs @ 3200 rpm
3.5L v6:
Type - SOHC 24 valve
Fuel Delivery - Sequential Multi-Point Fuel Injection
Fuel Requirement - 89 octane unleaded
Net Power (1993-1995) - 214 bhp @ 5800 rpm
Net Torque (1993-1995) - 221 ft/lbs @ 2800 rpm
Net Power (1996-1997) - 214 bhp @ 5850 rpm
Net Torque (1996-1997) - 221ft/lbs @ 3100 rpm
Here is a good chart to go by for second generations:

It's an '02 and it's rated for 253 hp. When I got my last dyno columns from the dyno edge I was driving my wife's car and he told me that he had a 300m on his dyno about 3 months before and showed me the numbers that it put out. It was a stock engine according to him. It was 213 fwhp and I can't remmenber the torque numbers but they were over 200 also. I know they make a special 300m that gets a 265 rating from the manufacturer.

I have a 2001 Intrepid R/T with the 3.5 HO. The only mod I've done is put in a K&N FIPK. Runs good!:)

Not a lot of votes have been cast here. Tell us what engine is in your Intrepid, 300M, Concorde, LHS.

LOOKS LIKE THERE IS NO ONE HERE WITH A NEW INTREPID FROM 2002 TO CURRENT MODELS AVAILABLE! THIS IS WHY WE NEED A NEW AD CAMPAGIN TO HELP INTREPID OWNERS KEEP THEIR INTREST IN THESE CARS. THIS CAR IS A PART OF THE REASON WHY WE HAVE AN IDENTITY CRISIS ON OUR HANDS AND NO ONE IS REALLY BYUING OR TRYING OUT THESE GREAT CARS!

No one here has a 3.2 liter engine or a 2002 to current 2.7 liter engine in their Intrepid? Vote if you have these engines!
The 3.3 must be popular only since it was the first engine Chrysler offered for the Intrepid. I see there are no 2003 owners out there. Why is that?-this is a great car!
Do you think that the Intrepid will be replaced soon? (I hope not)

It already has been replaced. The last run for the LH style car i.e. intrepid, 300M, concorde, and LHS was in 2003. It is being replaced by the LX style car i.e. the dodge magnum and 300C.

Crash 459,
There has been no advertising in regards to these cars as a replacement for the Intrepid. The 2004 Model year has already started and no such car exists yet that I have seen in the mid-west. This discussion has been going on for a few years but no real word has been given yet to the Intrepid getting the ax.
I don't tend to believe in rumors-not to say your claim will not happen-I just trust the real deal when these cars hit the showroom or new car show circuit.
