Right now I have a carter bbd on my 318 I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to put the holley on in it's place. I pulled it off a 74 d100 318 not even sure what it is either ,other than looking like a 2210/2245. Thanks

The 2245's are OK.. Other than the manufacturer, I don't think you notice or find much difference between the two (Performance or economy)..

They're both pretty much as Basic-as-it-comes-Fred-Flinstone-simple carbs..

The only thing I've ever noticed is the Holley's accelerator pump seems to go out sooner than the Carter... Keep in mind how many years Mopar used a Carter before switching over to the Holley. (In this case/application..) I can only guess it was because of 'emissions' stuff....

I'd clean it up and keep it on the shelf for a 'spare' if nothing else ;)

Thanks bherder, If you don,t mind me asking what do you run on your rig? I saw the choke photo you posted a while back and the choke looked similar to the holley setup.
