Recently I had a couple rust spots pop through the paint on the rocker panel, right side. These were able to be cleaned and welded , but there is evidence that all hell of rust is happening inside of both rocker panels.
Has anyone found a successful method to stop it? I am thinking like possibly injecting something into the panels might help.
Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

You may be able to drill some holes every say 6" or so in behind the rockers on the inner panel. Squirt some undercoating in there and then plug the holes back up. I think the factory has drains along the pinch weld too. Make sure these are free of debis and you can even add more drain holes. If you do this, be sure to use some touch-up paint on the edges of the holes.

from what I've seen there are several rust problem areas with our year of Ram Vans ...
I'm batting a couple right now myself

Nate's right about the drains - I did horrible things to my '79 when fresh out of high school (young and dumb...) I had the walls filled with blown in foam, which clogged the drains (that I didn't know about at the time!). The condensation had no where to go but straight out - with a vengeance. Ouch!!
I think a thin piece of wire or a needle is about all it takes to clean them out.

I appreciate all the replys and I have some good suggestions.
One I recieved off the forum was to drill holds like Dodgevanman suggested and spray a material from the "Rust Doctor" inside. This stuff supposedly neutralizes and seals the rust.
Allow several days to dry and the spray a rust preventive latex paint in there.
Then leave all the holes open so the rockers can breathe.
My question has any used the "Rust Doctor"? Their web site reads good.
What are folks thoughts about leaving the holes open?
