hey guys i got a 1986 D150 L6 3.7L and i recently had a problem with my pollution system. Some how the EGR Amplifier managed to catch fire and i lost all the vacume hoses around it. Now i can replace it but it would be much easier to remove all of it.
My question is if i remove most all of the pollution system with the ecception of the vacume pump, will i still be able to pass Massachusetts inspection?
ill have pics up soon!

Don't know about Mass, but when I was in CA. they checked for equipment under the hood. In other words, if you brought your rig in, they'd look it up and then would have a list of stuff that better be there, or you'd fail before they ever stuck the thing up your tailpipe....
Go ask a guy at a smog check place....

Yeah if they do visual inspections, you're stuck w/ that stuff. If they just do a sniffer test though, you can chunk it as long as the truck runs good enough to pass w/o them.
