seems like you could probably get some fiberglass bondo patch kits and patch it up that way. can get these at most any auto store

Over the years I have drilled into all kind of plastic tanks here on the ranch. Simple solution: Tap the hole and screw in a 3/8 plastic plug....Hole fixed, and new drain plug installed :)

Hahaha.... That's why I was asking 'where' the hole was... ;)
Tapping a pipe-thread hole and inserting a pipe-thread plug can fix it, BUT... I wouldn't be real confident about it, if on the bottom...
Top, no prob... Side... Maybe... Bottom... That's also why I asked how many holes.. ;)
(BTW... Unless it's a MAJOR "OOPS!!!" accident, who would drill a hole in a gas tank??)

For many years all gas tanks had a plug in the bottom of them so you could flush the tank in case you got some bad gas with water in it, and they never leaked. They sell a kit now that when you install the plug it beefs up around the hole. It is actually a fitting that glues onto the tank with a plug in it.
If it were me, I would rather go that way as I am not sure just how the fiberglass will stick to the rest of the tank....
Just the rambling thoughts of an "OLD" cowhand... :WHT:

I've heard of guys trying all kinds of things to patch the plastic tanks of our era rigs... None of them, as I recall, worked very well... I don't know exactly what kind of plastic it is, but it seems to be some kind that doesn't take to having things glued to it...
The plastic is pretty thick though... I'd try some sort of plug....
