Hello I was wondering if anyone had a diagram of how the fuel lines are routed ? My truck is a 73 w200 with the tank behind the seat. The tank has been out for a while. I am not sure how they where routed . Thanks

Don't Have A Layout Or So-called Installation Dwg.......but If The Truck Ever Had Provisions For A Second Tank (underneath) Most Of The Routing Concerns Getting Fuel To The Tank(s) Switching Solonoid Mt'd On The Right Frame Rail (passenger Side) Just Aft Of Where The Cab Ends.

The hard line should still be under the truck, it runs down the inside of the frame then pokes through a hole in the frame about even w/ the back of the door. There's another hard line that runs from the sending on top of the tank on the pass side, down beside the tank and through the floor, then connects to the frame line w/ a piece of rubber fuel line.

Thanks for the help. Is the other line coming out of the side of the tank a overflow line or a vent ? Where does it run to . Does the line from the sending unit run to the fuel pump ? Thanks

The little small line is a vent line, it actually runs through the inside of the cab, through the firewall, and then a piece of vacuum hose connects it from there to the charcoal canister.

The line coming out of the sending unit does run to the fuel pump.

Hello Thanks for the info . There is no charcoal canister on my truck . What would be the best way to vent it . Thanks again

Just leave the line open :D That's all I did, w/o the canister, there's not really much else to do with it. I just pulled the vacuum hose off the hard line under the hood, and left it, so it basically vented at the firewall under the hood. Really you could leave the hose hooked up and let it hang down in the front corner where the canister was, maybe stick it under the splash shield. Doesn't really matter, there's not enough fumes or anything coming out of it to matter. It's really just to keep air pressure from build up in the tank, and to keep a vacuum from forming and causing fuel delivery problems.
