Arm rest

Maybe a stupid question...


The drivers armrest on my '99 Cargo Van has become some loose. It can be moved horizontally for almost 1 inch from the left to the right.
I've allready checked if I can fasten it but the padding can't be opened??

Does anyone has some idea how it can be fastened? There has to be a trick to do it because right now the complete dismount of the armrest can't also be done because the screws are behind the rest!!?? :help:

The armrest on my '98 is exactly the same. I also looked to see if there is an easy fix, but unfortunately it looks like the seat cover needs to come off to gain access to whatever nuts/bolts/screws have come loose. For right now I'm just living with it. :WHT:

If anyone has an easy fix, I'm all ears. :help:

Hi,

I found out how to do the removal. :IDEA:


When the rest is down, you can access a screw under the pivot. When you remove this one, you can pull off the armrest.
