I have a 1999 Ram Van 1500. My fuel pump is really getting noisy. There are two replacement pumps one for a 32 gal tank and one for a 35 gal tank. How can I identify which tank I have? The part number on the tank is 59127928AF, but there is no markings as to capacity on the tank. :help:

Under the hood is an equipment label. It may list the fuel tank size.

There is no mention of the tank size on any of the labels.....
Is there any on line source to reference the OEM part number?

There's a guy named Damon who runs www.makeitmopar.com If you give him the p/n he can look it up. I tried typing in the part no. on the site, but it didn't come up. There should be a phone number on his website.

Hi,

The fuel capacity is 120 Litre ( 32 gals. ) for the 109 inch wheelbase and 132 litres ( 35 gals. ) for the 127 inch wheelbase.

Grtz,

In case anyone else needs to replace the fuel pump. I found that removing the dive shaft makes the job much easier. After disconnecting the filler hose it needs to pass thought the frame and the drive shaft prevents any side to side room to pass the hose through the frame. Make sure you have as much of the fuel out of the tank as possible. Even with most of the fuel out, the tank is quite heavy. PM me if you need any other info
