Hi.. here in sweden everyone is pouring down dextron 111 in the transmisson, so my transmisson is full of it.
now i am going to change filter and adjust bands, and wondering if its possible to fill it up with atf 3 ?
I mean the mix must have been in there before,if its ATF 3 from the factory right??
Or is my transmisson going to be left behind on the freeway..

What year is your van? It wasn't until the early 90's that Chrysler started phasing in their own special fluids. If your van is a newer model, then you should use ATF+3 or ATF+4.

its a 89tbi with the a999 transmission.
According to service manual ATF+ type 7176 is the oil to apply.
And here the problem starts, every one is filling the transmission with dx3 in sweden.so when i purchase the van it was dx3 in the transmission.
now i am going to change filter and wondering if its possible to fill it up with atf+3?

Sure you can. ATF+3 is just an updated version of Type 7176.

I have heard that dexron 3 and atf+3 not blends god??
i can only thange the oil in the pan and radiator, so there going to be dexron 3 left in the transmission.
i am going to drop the pan a couple of times to get rid of dexron 3.
