Speedometer HELP! 1989 DODGE B350 VAN

I am new to this forum, and I heard from a lot of people that this is the place to go to get help. Anyway, I just bought a fixer upper 89' dodge b350 van and it has a problem. THe problem is that it goes to 10-15 mph on the speedometer, and then stops. I was wondering if there was a way to repair it without having to take it to a shop. Thanks!

Sounds like either a bad cable or bad speedo. Try removing the speedo cable and lubing it. If I'm not mistaken you can use white lithium grease for thise. If this doesn't work, then you'll probably need a new speedo. You can find one in a junkyard.
