air breather replacement

I have a 2000 B250 Dodge van. I removed the wing-nut on top of the air filter housing,but the top cover would not come off. Could it be stuck,or do I need to do something else? thankyou for any help Bob

Hopefully a moderator will move this to the correct forum for better exposure.

I would say it is stuck and if you take the butt end of a screw driver and rap edge of the cover it should come apart or see if you can take the air filter housing out and tap the edge with it flipped over ... it should come apart
