Hey Yall,

How's it going in Caravan Land. HMMM, sounds like a theme park. Anyways, can a fuel pump just slowly stop working?? What I'm getting at is, last weekend, while taking lunch break in my van, running, the rpm's dropped, and then the van stalled. I got it started, sort of, but couldn't keep it going. I've done the key dance, and it tells me the ASD relay, or faulty wiring to it. Any chance just the relay is bad. I pulled it, and reinserted it, no diff. I think I'm going to try swapping with another relay. I automatically assumed the fuel pump was shot, but maybe not. No biggy here, I replaced the van, but I need to move it in my driveway. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance......Brad

do you hear the fuel pump when you turn on the key

sometimes it is hard with all the chimes and buzzers and so it is easier if yiou have someone turn the key while you crawl under and listen for the brief whine of the pupm

if you do not hear it, then you need to check for power to then pump. If there is power, then the pump is bad; if there is no power, then work your way forward through the wiring to see why

if you do hear the pump, then yopu need to check for volume and pressure; the lack of either or of low pressure or low volume makes staring and smooth running difficult

I can't hear the pump. I've been waiting for the snow around it to melt, so I can check the wiring back there. It's still sitting on ice, so maybe this weekend, if we get some more melt down, I'll get at it. Thanks for info...Brad
