05 Caravan power sliding doors quit working. Power latch to pull in rear of door does not pull in and latch. Problem started with one door kicking back as if it was obstucted and then both quit altogether. When doors are actuated you can hear the power door lock actuate, but that is all that happens. All fuses under hood test ok, and changed around relays with no result. WHERE ARE THE ADDITIONAL FUSES / RELAYS? I know there is some kind of protection on the circuit but can not find it.

take it to the dealer, there are a lot of issues with these doors that are usually remedied by reflashing the body control module, and an '05 should have warranty left unless its out by mileage

thats probably the only way your gonna fix it as there are a lot of sensors and control modules involved in the power door/liftgate system that only the dealers scan tool (DRBIII) can diagnose

had the same problem with the passenger side sliding door on our 05 DG. It would start to close then kick back like something was stuck or jammed midway thru. Anyway took it back to the dealer (still under warranty) and this what they typed tin the repair order " tech inspected and found open wire in the harness, tech removed and replaced the harness part number 4868122ae channel sliding door harness"

on mine I would say it was kicking back open when it was roughly about 75% in it's closed position.

Yup me too when I buy I go by the KISS principal . The simpler the better and less things to go wrong that you have to pay for . I need very few things in a auto , adequate leg room , tilt wheel , cruise with controls on the steering wheel , sunscreen glass in the rear , air and thats about it . I can even live without power windows and locks , unfortunetly almost everything comes with them now so I live with those .
