Everytime it downshifts from 2 - 1 I get a hard bump. Van has 100k and everything else runs smooth. Any ideas?

head to the dealer and tell them to run the 'quick learn' procedure
this will reset the TCM and the solenoid pack and may cure your problem

Well, I went to the dealer, they said:
1) replace Throttle Position Sensor
2) perform throttle bottle service
I am going to try and change the sensor and go from there. Has anyone done this before or have any instructions?

I replaced the sensor and worked. The dealer mechanic called it a "throtle position sensor" and the paperwork described it as 'ac sensor'. Anyway it was found attached to the back of the throtle body. Thanks

Yes, you can get it at the dealer. I am not sure about autoparts though.
