is it the fan that is not workin or just not blowing hot air?? if its the fan then it could be 1 of 2 things, 1 the fan motor is dead and will need replacing or 2 the switches that control the fan are bad and not sending the signal to turn it on, both can be bought at a junkyard i would think,
now if its blowing air just not hot it may be that the thermostat is stuck open which will produce very little heat, this would be a simple fix and just buy a new thermostat for $5, again it COULD be if its blowing, just not hot, that the switches are messed up and its not recognizing the warm setting and is staying on cold

well judging by the fact that you said it only worked on high for a while tells me that the heater resistor is burnt out, possibly caused by a bad blower motor drawing too much current, now maybe the motor took a crap or the resistor is completely gone
try replacing the resistor first
Its a $10 part from your dodge dealership
The blower motor resistor is located in the passenger compartment on the lower side of the heater-A/C housing.
REMOVAL
Remove lower right silencer panel.
Disconnect wiring connectors (RESISTOR BLOCK) from resistor.
Remove blower resistor mounting screws.
Pull blower motor resistor out of HVAC housing .
If you need any more information let me know

I think it is the heater resistor , that makes much more sence to me. It work for awhile, then "NOTHING"!!!!!!!!
Is this part not availiable at the salvage yard? I think i'm gonna try to fix it myself.....hmmmmmm what could possibly go wrong, i could have no heat?????LOL................ doesnt seen to complicated, or am I mistaken? My husband would have no clue, and i hate things riged, thanks alot for the advice, this was very useful. I will let you all know how it goes.

BE careful with the resistor if it burns out again, when the resistor first burns out you will lose all blower speeds except high, and during operation the resistor block can get very hot, wait a few minutes after turning off the blower for the block to cool sufficiently before you touch it

Hi,
I had exactly the same problem with my 01 Strat
The Old resistor is a piece of junk and the new one is beefed up abit.
You do not have to take out the glove box to get to it but it is a pain to do.
It is under the passenger side and hooked into the side of the blower .
The new part doesn't exactly fit right and takes alittle bit of effort to force in.
I would get the new part from dealer (less than$20) (it is fairly flat with a resistor on it about 1-2" wide and 4-6" long with a plug at the end.) If you can figure things out quickly it takes less than 1/2 hour. The toughest part was figuring out where it is.
Good luck

note: all the info I gave you is based on the stratus 4 door sedan
it may be different if you have the 2-door coupe
