i have both a 95 and 96 neon both have problems with the speedometer and the other dash related guages. fuel temp tach etc. when i hit a bump they go out then come back then go out etc and so on. anyone else have this problem and know what it will take to fix? any help would be greatly appreciated.

my speedometer does that every once ina while i think its just the way the factory made the cluster ill be doing 50 and itl go to 0 and im like great this is gonna be a nice excuse to tell a cop when he asks son do you know how fast you were going hahaha

mine did that when the battery was going dead and the alterater was bad but it happens in my wifes 96 sometimes i just smack the dash and it fixes itself just bad connections no big deal

If you re-solder the points on the back of the cluster the problem goes away.
