On my wind shield wipers the arm that connects to the motor keeps falling off and i think there is a bushing or something that goes on after the arm slides on the wiper but i am not sure does any one know what i am talking about?
If so can you help me please.

If you mean where the arm, with the relay rods and crank-arm connects to the motor assembly there should be a nut.

On the actual motor itself right? The piece that spins around with the little stud on the end, right?
There is a plastic piece that is suppouse to snap on the end of that stud and you can get them at most any parts store. Good luck getting it to stay on.. I got so frustrated trying to get that piece to snap in and stay on, I finally just drilled a hole in the stud and stuck a cotter pin through it... :D

Hey 300 ... Yours has a nut instead of a plastic insanity device? What year is that? If before mine (79') that sure would have been nice... Just a locknut or something. Dodge must have saved themselves 3 cents per rig buy replacing a nut, with the plastic insanity device.. ;)

My '78 and '71 vans both use nuts in the place you circled red. I didn't know that Dodge went insanne in '79 pick-ups.

Yeah, they also went bonkers (79') by replacing a rock-solid steering shaft (The one that had the rag-joint at the bottom, next to the gearbox) with one that has the rag-joint up near the top and some weak-azzed coupler that has to be rebuilt every so often down by the gearbox....

Go figure, huh? Engineers. If it's built right, they'll find some way to make it better... (I.E. F*** it up.. ;) )

That's why I intend on replacing mine with a Borgenson shaft....

Yeah, it's pretty slick... Kinda' sucks though that you gotta' spend a couple hundred bucks to 'fix' something as basic as a steering shaft, though isn't it?

You think that the Dodge Boys never thought that anyone would be lifting their rig or putting big tires one them? ;)

This is a major *minus* on their part....

On the plus side, the rebuild kits were only $9.00 each, so I bought 3 of them.
One to fix the prob and two others for the 'parts shelf' :D It was a bit of a PITA to find them , so I ordered extra....

I gotta' say though, after rebuilding the coupler, the steering feels like brand new.. :D
