ok i know this aint a dodge but still same motor basically! my friend aaron has a 97 eclipse fwd turbo! this thing is fast as **** or was fast as ****! he has over $8,000 in reciepts in performance parts... this thing is built from the axels and oil pan all the way to the valve cover and spark plug wires... but recently it has had this issue! ok here is, ne suggestion will be help ful on how to fix this thing! he has 2 turbos a super 16g and a 20g... now with the super 16g he can boost just fine... sept he runs his boost off his external waste gate, its set at 35 psi (20g setting) and with the 16g the car is fast as hell and pulls hard all the way to 35 psi down side is its his 3rd super 16g ... hahn told him if he breaks another one they wont warranty it, so he buys a 20g knowing it can handle the high boost, well now the issue is not breaking the turbo but n ne gear he can do a pull and as soon as the boost gets to 12-15 psi the car jerks down real hard and shoots a flame out the exhaust.... i cant figure out wat is wrong with this car... 16g runs fine just breaks the turbo .... 20g u cant spool it hard! i told him to check the injectors figureing one might be bad! but idk wat do u guys think?

Sorry I can't help you out there 95moparracer! LOL

Did you know that the Neon motors are not anything like a mitsu motor? Similar yes but Mitsubishi has nothing at all to do with out Neons engines. In fact I was doing some reading yesterday and found out much to my suprise that instead of Dodge working with mitsubishi on the Noen power plants, they were actually working with Lamborgini when these motors were made. Just a fact I thought maybe yould be interested in. Another thing about tha Mitsu head ont he 2.0L is that it is backwards to ours with the exhaust in front of the motor. Mitsubishi made a bad mistake doing that IMHO becouse with the head on there the way it is they actually lost HP.
