I've got a 84 with a engine vibration. The previous owner did a 318 to 360 swap. He bought the engine from a company completly rebuilt. I have had the balancer checked and thats not the problem. Any ideas. Thanks

The torque convertor should have a weight(s) on it on the opposite side the balancer (180*). Turn the engine so the heavy side of the balancer is up and remove the inspection cover between the engine and transmission and there should be weight(s) visable. Usually 2, about 1"x 1-1/4"x 1/2" thick.

^^ +1, if they didn't change to a 360 torque converter, it will cause a vibration, and can actually cause damage if left like that.

Might want to check your motor mounts also....

I'll be under the truck this weekend checking for weights.
