hello all,

what do you guys think of a big block 400 in a 86 dodge ram running a 904,,,the motor is stock except for being bored .030 over and running a 4 BARREL

Sounds great except one thing, 904s don't fit big blocks.
It would have to be a 727 with a big block bolt patern.

I agree 100%
Trust me I know...
727 is the only tranny for the Big- Block

& not just any 727... It had to have the Big Block bolt pattern on the bell housing!!

But if its got a 440.. Its got a 727... But none the less .. Its a sweet set up!!!! :rck:

You can get a 904 for a BB, but I wouldn't. 727 is the way to go, unless it's a light vehicle or a race-built trans.
