OK I am new at this but I have a problem, it my sound dumb to most but i dont know anything about the truck i just bought. I was on my way home from the store and my truck idled really rough, then died. So i started it back up and pulled into my driveway, put it in park, and it died again. I live in minnesota and its cold here now, so i dont know if that has anything to do with my problem or not. If anyone has any opinions on my current problem can you please give me some feedback!... fuel filter maybe?

I would say yes replace the fuel filter and give it a complete tune up,check the timimng for a start.

sounds like you need a carb. rebuild or a maybe your choke is sticking cold, butI'd try a good tune-up first and check the timing as stated above.

I would say there is a issue with the carb....

Could be the accelerator pump in the carb. My old Holley 2bbl did that. It was running fine then next thing you know it started running rough and wanting to die. But try the simple stuff first like the timing, tune up and fuel filter first before tackling the carb.

Choke, If it was the fuel filter it would idle ( unless it was totaly clogged ) but when driving and the demand for fuel was greater the motor would fall on it's face.
