I Need More Power And Want A V-6!

I Have A 1986 D-50 4x4 With A 2.6 4 Cylinder And A 5 Speed. I Have 33 Inch Swampers And 4 Inch Lift. I Want To Make A Mean Little Truck Out It By Using A V-6. I Have A Friend That Thinks A 93-94 3.0 Mitsubishi V-6 Will Bolt Up To My Tranny But I Want To Know For Sure Before I Go Out And Buy Or Build One. I Am Also Reluctantly Willing To Use A 4.3 Chevy Or 2.9 Ford If Anyone Knows Where To Get An Adapter Plate That Will Allow Me To Use My Existing Tranny. Thanks!

theres prolly not any for a 2.9 far as aftermarket theres not much the 4.0 is more popular than those i think they did make a 700 r 4 or some chevy auto adapter for the 4.0 check out rangerpowersports.com they be able to tell you if theres any adapter for the 2.9 or 4.0 but let me tell you there prolly not going to put out the power you want.
