I have a 318 but not sure what tranny I have does anybody know if i have a 727 904 or what

it is hard to say just which trans you have but a quick way of checking with out climbing under the truck is to look at the dip stick filler tube on the passenger side.
where the filler tube enters the trans look at the pan and if it has a round corner then it is a 904 if there is a "dog leg" where the filler tube goes in then it is a 727.
here is a photo that might be of some help to show you what i mean about that dog leg on the passenger side which can be seen from the engine compartment as well.
