Not to sure what Infinity it was but Id say yes with the right driver the Tiby is smoked by the Infinity. Here are the stock 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for both cars.

1998 Hyundai Tiburon FX 8.4 16.5
2002 Hyundai Tiburon GT V-6 7.1 15.6
2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan 6.2 14.8
2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe 5.5 14.2
2004 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan 6.2 14.6
2003 Infiniti G35 6.2 14.7 (R&T July '02)

The term Rice usually refers to foriegn cars such as Honda ect. But it also is a word used to describe one's thoughts of another persons choice in style modifications. If you ask me Rice is defined NOT by the cars make it is defined by the owners choice in cosmetic mods. As in huge (unpainted) aluminum wings, huge wheels,NOS stickers (when they don't have any), Ect. One thing that getts me is an APC sticker that I see on all these import cars....I consider it Rice. WHY? becouse APC stands for American Products Co. why the hell would you put APC in huge letters on the hatch of a Honda Civic DX. WTF? anyhow hope this clears up what Ricer means for ya.

Sounds like your friend with the Tibby might have already been beaten by the Infinity and calls it rice out of maddness. LMAO Unless it's tricked out with stupid big wings and stickers. LMAO later

I did a search on Riced-Out and I am going to paste some of the stuff I found. LMAO

When someone says a car is riced out, they are usually basing this observation on the appearance or sound of a vehicle. The chapters display several ways riceboys change their vehicle's appearance, and from this we can apply variations of each of these "mods" to the term "riced out."

Typically, if someone adds stickers to their car, regardless of its actual performance capabilities, it can be called riced out. Granted, you can jokingly say that funny cars and various other high performance dragsters are "riced out." This is obviously not the case, but using sarcasm we can say these cars are riced out when in fact the whole world knows that this is truely not the case. At the same time we realize that this is the image the rice boy tries to obtain. Dragsters often times use stickers to promote the sponsors of the vehicles. Riceboys will promote "HONDA IMPORT RACING TEAM" with stickers plastered every which way just because it creates the image of being fast. Whether or not the stickers are performance related, it's fun to call your buddies riceboys when they have any after market sticker on their vehicle.

Any vehicle with a damaged muffler can sound ricey. The hardcore riceboys have a fart-sounding exhaust, and typically when any "normal" 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder loses its muffler, it sounds like a fart. The person probably does not enjoy this sound but just has not had time to visit the exhaust shop. We call these vehicles riced out, again utilizing sarcasm. We say this because the riceboy does not realize it, but he looks like these normal people with loud fart-sounding exhaust on an economy car. Except in riceboy's mind, this farting noise is the sound of performance.

Often times because rice boys think that fog lights add horsepower when applied in excess numbers to their vehicles, we like to call even factory fog lights "rice lights." Try it with your friends, you too can be cool and drive with your rice lights on during the day!
LOL

Nice, or should I say, Rice write up ACR, lol! Where did you find that?

Flamn99neon, if you want a full out description of "rice" go here for a complete schooling: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricers

Let me use my car as an example: I'm sure there are plenty of people who would consider my external mods. "rice". That's ok, I have no problem with that, but I think the spirit of "rice" is over-the-top. Stickers, massive external mods, things gawdy. There's a difference between "gawdy" and "tasteful," and of course, the distinction between the two is in the eyes of the beholder. In my case, my intention is to show pride of ownership, nothing more and nothing less. :)

By the way: So far these are my favorite "ricers"

me personally, i like body kits, big rims, and loud cars! now i dont like stickers all over ( with or without mods). i think rice is basically by definition the driver not just the car. a car with a body kit and big rims ( if u dont like to race) but has small things down such as a header back exhaust and a cai. etc. ( basically enough mods to support the powerloss by bigger rims). also rice= guy who has slow car who thinks its fast and trys to race nething on the road ( nething = trucks, semi's, old ppl, women with kids in car, men with kids in car, slow/stock cars ( with exception to turbo cars >.<), rev's it up at everyone, and talks shit on faster cars, lies about mods down to car, i think that just about clears that up! true rice = ne thing with a APC sticker and chrome hub caps! aluminum wing is not rice depending on car! nething fwd wing = rice! ur techniqually hurting performance and gas mileage with a wing on ur fwd car! now to me a body kit and rims isnt rice if the body kit is painted! now if its still that stock blue or yellow color and fits like crap its rice.... some ppl prefere show > to go! some ppl show is = to go, some ppl like 15" rims and go > show! cars are all about personal prefrence honestly!

A functional wing is suposed to push the rear of the car down during high speed turns. It has the same effect on a fwd car.(......If it can go fast enough to create down force). Serious racers who do over 160-170 mph fwd or rwd have their cars areodynamicaly sound. Just like our mods. One mod works with the other, either in a + way or - way. A simple street car has no business with an adjustable wing! Most can't do over 110 mph.
I like body kits! And I like nice wheels.tastefull wings are nice as well.

I think the term "Rice" is a personal preference of an individual. A 4x4 Chevy driving redneck might think that ''any'' mods that don't include a lift kit and 44 inch gumbo's is Rice.
People with tastefull mods to their Neon like all of us think that the line is drawn with stickers,HUGE ugly wings,Folgers coffee can mufflers, ect.

I think your car is very nice Alaska! And I cant remember where I got that write up.

The only thing I don't like about that Neon Daklover is the pinstripe and flames. However one or the other would look cool, but I dont think they mix too well. lol
Other than that I like the car. SRT exhaust is still just a stock Neon exhaust system!!!
Wheres the Rice in that? Neons also came with race stripes, again wheres the Rice in that?lol To bad it's sold!
