I just completed a head gasket replacement (had head sent out for a complete valve job as well as machined flat) on a 98 Neon SOHC engine. The re-installation went fairly smooth. After getting everything back in place the Engine cranks strong upon turning the ignition key, but I am unable to get it started. I removed fuel injectors and had them cleaned. Fuel pump is supplying fuel to Rail.
I Ohmed out the Main Relays (all checked "good").
Verified Primary & Secondary Resistances were correct on Ignition Coil.
Voltage is present at center terminal of Ignition Coil Plug.
How does one verify if the fuel injectors are actually being activated while the engine cranks ? Are there measurable vlotages that should be present ?
Thanks in advance for any/all suggestions.
