Hey there - I'm actually posting this for my boyfriend as he's out in garage trying to get our van up and running so we can get out of town for Christmas! We were on the highway when all of a sudden the van wouldn't upshift into 4th. He had changed the transmission about two weeks ago, so he thought perhaps the OD wire or something had broken. He got out, and checked but nothing was wrong. When we started moving again, the oil pressure light came on but then went out just as suddenly. Then the engine started making a noise like the lifters weren't getting enough oil. We ended up towing it home and now he's trying to figure out if it's the oil pump or if it's the engine itself. Any ideas??
