I have a 05' 3500 sprinter w/ 25,000 miles. I hand a problem today while on the expressway. i was traveling about 75 mph & I lost power, top speed was about 60 mph. After stopping & turning of the engine, I was able to drive it at full power for about 15 miles before the problem happened again, this time the engine light came on. I then stopped at a auto parts store & the computer showed a code #po299. does anyone know what this code is? todays Saturday before the holiday so all the dealers service departments are closed. Is this the turbo resonator? Thanks, Matt Murphy

While driving home today i heard a loud bang & lost some engine power. Looked under the hood & saw the resonator blew apart! I was about 3 miles from a dealer, drove there & in less than a hour they replaced it under warrenty. Mechanic said it's a common problem.

There is a replacement lifetime metal resonator available for about a hundred dollars. See my earlier post.

I just took delivery of my 2006 Sprinter Chasis Friday. On the way home from the dealership (450 miles away) the turbo resanator blew. We were stranded on the side of the interstate and had to have the Sprinter towed 100 miles to the nearest Sprinter Dealer. The Sprinter had 455 miles at the time of the problem. I now remember why I have not bought a Dodge in a LONG time!
