Well as many of you may know that I just had a Shaker Hood Painted and Installed for my Dakota a week ago Monday and came Non-Functional.
Over and Over some of you kept telling me that I've got to make this Shaker Hood Functional. (Which is a Good Thing)
Well funds were really tight after the True Dual Custom Exhaust Setup, The Shaker Hood, Having it Painted and of course X-Mas.
Well I'm am Proud To Announce Now.
AirAid is now my 3rd Sponsor.
Here are a few pics of my New AirAid 300-175 Intake System. The Hood was suppose to have been designed to work with the AirAid Intake System so I look Very Much forward to getting it installed. The Decals were part of the agreement, 1 for the Windshield and 1 for Under the Hood.
Man, I'm pretty excited and now my Shaker Hood will be Functional.
Now I just need to reply back to Truckin Magazine and let them know things are falling into place nicely.
Let me know what you think.
P.S. I just noticed that the Quick Fit that fits over the filter box isnt in the pictures, Oh well, that was included also but not in the photos.
Jim.

Anyone have any idea how to fit a 3.5" coupler over a 4" Throttlebody?

What will you be doing with your true flow? I am interested in the tubular pipe with all the hardware for my 04 QC. I might be heading to my dad's new house in palm bay tomorrow. PM me a price if you might be selling it.

FrEnChY I replied to your P.M.
Hit_It I'll be selling it, I have two of the TrueFlow Intakes, 1 a 4" silver tube shown in the picture and a 3.5" Black one which is currently on the truck, I put the stock TB and smaller tube on when i had the Hood installed. I didnt want any problems with the fitting since i was paying them by the hour to Paint and Test Fit the hood. The 4" tube has about 2500 miles or so on it and the 3.5" tube has about 300 miles on it.
If your asking why a 4" tube, It's because my F&B TB is 4" vs. the stock TB only being I believe 3.5"
I know AirAid sells the Plastic tube separately but not sure what the plastic tube sells for.
I'll probably install the new intake after Christmas but if you want come up with a price on which one you want and we'll go from there.
AirAid didnt send me a 4" to 3.5" adapter coupler so I'll have to see what couplers are left over.

Yes, Actually I'm interested in selling both setups. Tomorrow hopefully I'll be able to get an inventory of each and then I'll post some pics and we'll let the bidding begin. I no longer need them so I'm sure you'll be able to get a great price on them.
Here's some pics of the New AirAid Intake Installed.
Have a Very Merry Christmas everyone, To You & Yours.

Looks very very cool indeed. Question--How dies that Airaid make the shaker hood functional? The Vented ports on the Shaker topper are not ducted to any part of the air intake, is it?

I noticed that also.

It looks like air comes out on the drivers side and runs through ducting in the hood to the right side just above the intake air filter.

Yup,... it flows thru the ducts inside the hood to the Air Intake on the passenger side. How much air is Rammed or Forced thru the hood is unknown so if you find out let me know.

wow..It took me awhile to figure out how the air was getting to the filter.
Thats pretty crazy how that works.
Can you get a better picture from above it showing the right side of the RAM a little better?
Another good shot to see would be the hood partially close to get a better idea of how it aligns with the hood.
That thing is sick man... It really looks great... AND it functional!!
Good shit man!

What is the inside diameter size of the filter base on that Airraid?
Or, what is the outside diameter of the intake tube to the TB? I want to get an Airraid, but I want to run an Amsoil EAA cone filter, and want to make sure I can get the right filter base size.

I am sorry, I don't believe that is a functional shaker hood scoop, to be a true functional hood scoop the air would be directed from the hood scoop inlets straight to the filterthen into the TB, I don't see any ports on the hood to direct air to the pass. side filter, and if there were ports on the hood, the scoop looks like it is enclosed with no outlet toward the air filter, BUT, I still like the look of the shaker hood!!
