I'm thinking about rebuilding my '96 neon SOHC (200,000) miles. I have access to a 2005 2.4 liter turbo motor out of a pt cruiser. Is this a reasonable swap?

Yep! You will need to do some research first at maybe Neons.org or Allpar.com

It is possible yes, but if I am not mistaken that motor/ block is a hair bigger than the srts motor... I could be wrong though, that might have been on the non turbo pt's. If you have access to it and the time to do it... it is an awesome swap! I have a 95 coupe that I bought from someone with an 04 srt motor already in it.. I have just been buildin and fixin problems on it. ACTUALLY just got done overhauling the trans. Put the new quaife lsd in there, new dss stage 3 axles, a tunning module by ptperformance off of srtforums.com, rc 750's, and a oil modifier, supposed to regulate oil at higher rpms. on 15 psi I am lookin for low low 12's high 11's on slicks... Track day is this sat. the 30th.. so if weather is good I will have new times to post for the car!
