Anyone can give me some tips on changing the oil pan gasket... my van is leaking like crazy... but its hard to get to all the bolts on the pan, since the transmission is in the way. anyone have any instructions in pulling out the motor.. i think thats my last resort... or even a running caravan motor if anyone wants to sell

let me know

thanks
jason

Hi Jason, welcome to Dodgetalk!
According to my repair manual depending on what size motor you have the removal steps vary a little. The 4 cylinder engines and the 3.0 you just unbolt and drop the pan, might be a tight fit but it can be done. 3.3 and 3.8 you need to remove the torque converter access cover (if equipped) to remove the pan. In either case you shouldn't have to go to extremes to fix it.

ooo wooops miss print its a 95, the older model... the transmission seems to be in the way of me getting to the other bolts....

Checked again-pretty much the same story, all the way down to the 3.3 and 3.8 motors and the torque converter access plate. the 2.2 and 2.5 have a bolt on either side of the rans and you might want to try using a 1/4" ratchet and extension just to get at the bolts due to clearance.

I'm hoping this is helping you.
