Hello, need some advice on 2001 Grand Caravan 49k. This fall I noticed a rubbing noise and a slight vibration when I turn my steering wheel. Power steering seems to be fine and works the same.

Took my van to two different mechanics. First one said it could be my outer tie rods or struts. He said my power steering is ok. Second mechanic said I need a power steering flush. I have never had a power steering flush or heard of it.

Any advice on what to do? I thought about getting a third opinion, but they could come up with a new set of ideas.

Thanks!

low P/S fluid level can cause such a problem

We checked the P/S fluid and it is good.

I'd lean more towards your first mechanics opinion at this point. Either the or you could have a caliper issue, but it sounds like the tire kicking back into the wheel well when you're turning of course CV's can do that on occasion as well.
