Power Doors

Our van has power sliding doors on both sides and a power hatch. The passenger side door and hatch work fine. The driver side door however, is not so good. When you try to open with the key fob or button inside the van, the motor starts, and stops immidiately. Dealer wants close to $400.00 to fix. The door can be opened all the way manually. Any ideas about what's going on?

Sounds like the motor is either shorting out or its hitting its "stop" switch too soon.

thanks for the help, but is there anyone who knows how to actually get the door off of the van? It wants to stay on. I'm having alot of trouble with one electrical connector. It's the biggest black one on the underside of the door. Any ideas?
