Hi all,
I drive a 96 Town & Country. It has 260K in it's odometer. I just had a fluid replacement and I used ATF+4 last September or just 10K kilometers.
I just experienced the transmission stall for a second coming from a stop light. When I checked the fluid level, it was slightly low but is still within the range. The transmission now gives out a faint sound as I come to a complete stop, the closest description I could give is like brake pads rubbing on to wet discs and then it would be followed by a another sound that would be similar to oil being squished out from a small leak.
I know that the trannies on these have a tendency to give up easily and I don't want to spend a bundle rebuilding one so I would want to make sure that I could save it just before things get worse.
Is there something I should look out for?
Thanks for any input.
