Hi - I have to change the oil pan gasket on a 91 3.3. What the best sealer to use along with the new gasket?
Last time, I just put silicone on the ends. But, the van was stolen, and the creeps scraped the pan on something, and it started leaking again. It's not cracked, I can tighten it and it's ok for a while, then starts to leak again. Time to change it again. Any other tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

Get the Mopar RVT. It works awesome. Also make sure your pan mounting holes haven't been "puckered".

That is good stuff, I always keep some on hand. Thanks for reminding me about the holes. Gonna change it today, temps going to be over 50.
Thanks

Over 50 shoot that's a heat-wave up here right now. Last night dropped to 11 tonite 10. Days aren't much better which sucks when you're stuck outside. Good luck with the oil pan.

It was a great weekend weatherwise here in central Ohio, around 60 each afternoon. I have a garage, but I have a 61 chevy taking up most of it. It was easier to just do it outside, then to start moving stuff around in the garage. All went well with the oil pan.
Thanks again for the tips, and Happy Holidays

Good news. I understand the lack of space availbility issue. Happy holidays to you and yours. Glad that I could help.
