I Just had a problem with my 2003 Caravan , the blower would only work on the High Setting so I replaced the Resistor Block and it worked fine , It ran good for about 2 days now its blown again , there seems to be a Fuse in the resistor block which I guess is blowing , any ideas on what could cause this resistor block to blow twice ??

Thanks

Mick

I had a truck that i replaced the resistor in and a few days later it didn't work again. It ended up being corrosion in the plug. I cleaned them and it was fine. Hope it helps.
Also was wondering if you could help me out? I have a 2003 gr. caravan. I cannot locate the resistor block or find an auto store that sells them.

I think on the 2003 it is right behind the glovebox , lower it and you may have to remove it and it should be right behind it on the firewall .

Correct, Just pop out thr glove box and its right there in the Duct , fairly simple to replace , I have seen a few posts which indicate if the resisitor keeps blowing it may be a blocked pollen filter , I havent got one on my caravan but I believe some higher end models have filters as an option

Thanx for the info. Found it where you said. I still have a prob. though. My rear blower is the one not working on the first 2 speeds. A freind at Firestone called the dodge dealer for me and they said that only the front has a resistor coil and the rear has a relay. I found the relay in the power block switched it with another of the same kind and still nothing. I located the rear blower and found what looked like a resistor bolted to the cowling. I removed it and all it had on inside was a black flat square piece. Not sure what it is.

Rear blower fixed. Found resistor for rear blower behind right rear panel inside of back of van. Dealer had part for $24.00 inc. tax. I installed it in a couple of minutes. Dosn't look like normal resistor would.
Thanx for everyones help.
