OK, so my 2000 Dodge Neon makes a slight clicking type noise when I turn right. It almost sounds like a rattle. However, if you drive slower it is more of a click.

The dealer said he believed it was a CV joint, and some other people I talked to said the same thing.

So, I decided it probably was a CV joint, given all the input. I then replaced both axle assemblies and both ball joints. Probably a good decision since the right ball joint was bad.

However, replacing these parts did not help. The noise is still there.

One of my buddies said it could be a wheel hub, but I doubt it. Another suggested it could be something in the transmission.

I doubt it is the transmission since it only happens when turning right.

Any thoughts??? Help please!

It's your left hub. Turning right puts pressure on the outside left wheel.

I'm not 100% positive on a 2nd gen, but on a 1st gen you can buy the hub/bearing assembly which is actually 50% cheaper than buying just the hub or just the bearing.

I have two 1st gen ACR hub/bearing assemblies on order right now for the same exact issue.

Yep Definatly the Hub/Bearing. A decent garage will only charge about 30 bucks to intall one. But if you do one you may as well do both! You can do it yourself but it's quite a job unless you buy them already assembled. In which I did not. Later

Wow!!! I need to move to WV. I wouldn't be doing mine myself if I could find someone to do mine for $30.

How much were your parts? My ACR Hub/Bearing assemblies were $85/each.
