What would be the repairs for these codes also 32 is up. It is a DOHC that has been camed, head work,cold air intake, performance exhaust including the cat,and it will scream!Will these mods keep the engine light on?The exhaust manifold has a crack but I've got a header that I'm going to put on.I just bought it and I'm working out some of the gremlins.
Code 12 does not mean anything other than that your battery power has been disconected within the last 50 key on cycles. Normal code for all Neons.
A simple unhooking and clearing of the codes will clean that up.
Code 32 is a code for the EGR valve! It's as simple as getting a new one OR you could spend a few bucks at E-bay or @ the Dodge Garage and get yourself a mopar performance computer and then you can block off the EGR valve.
Blocking your EGR may cause the car to run a tad warmer but it keeps alot of gunk out of the throttle body which helps to keep the intake clean. The Mopar Computer ignores the EGR valve so you don't need it to run right, if you just block it off w/o the PCM from Mopar it wont run for chit!
The Mopar computer (pcm) will wake your car up some too. Especially with the mods you already have! May I also suggest a larger throttle body!
The PCM is about 160 @ Dodge and 30-50$ on e-bay. A throttle body swap to a 55 mm bored tb will run about 200$. However you can also go to a junk yard and get an ATX throttle body which is already bigger than your MTX tb.
The crack in your manifold! Is it right in the middle? Thats where mine was cracked.I think it's a common DOHC neon thing. Good Luck!

There are a few kits out there you can buy to block it off or you can block it off your own way. I used a pop can and cut it to match the gasket on the block side and then simply bolted it back to the block.
If you have the stock computer in the car I don't recomend you block it off! The car wont run for shit unless you have the Mopar computer! Later

Check your two prong wire connector on the coil pack. I assume this is what they mean about distributor, seeing how these car are dist.less. systems. Anyhow make sure that t's all pluged in and maybe trace them back to the pcm looking for a broken wire or something unplugged. Other than that Im not sure.
About the computer. Have you ever hit the rev limiter? Speed Limiter? Mopar computers are stock computers that are re-programed they look the same. But.........they also come with a sticker that is (by law) suposed to be placed on the computer where it's visible. It should say mopar performance on it. You can find out simply by hitting the rev limiter or speedlimiter. The stock Rev limit on a DOHC MTX is 7400rpm's..........speedlimiter int he stock computer may vary bettween 110-118 but not any higher unless it's an ACR or Newer R/T. They shut down at 130-135 MPH. The Mpar computer will not have a speedlimiter (that you can find). And the rev limit on the Mpar computer is set at 7600rpms.
ATX= automatic trans MTX=manual trans.

Thanks for your help. I'm nervous about trying the rev limiter but I'll give it a shot. I used to own a 440 charger and high RPM's are scarey!!

You could hit the speed limiter and be much easier on the motor LOL. But one time shouldnt hurt it.....mine has seen the rev limit a few times! LOL later
