Engine Shutdown

We got a check engine light last night so we opted to take the car for a free diagnostic today at Autozone. When I started the vehicle this morning I got the check engine light again, then within a few seconds, the engine turned off, oil lamp came on and a little red circle blinks below it.

Code I get is P0513. I googled it and it comes up under OBD III as P0513-INVALID SKIM KEY, or Incorrect Immobilizer Key?

Tried resetting the system by disconnecting batt cable overnight but still no luck. Tried the spare key as well. Anyone have suggestions on how to solve this problem?

I dont have no clue! Sounds like something that the dealer might have to look at. Is the key to your car one of those with the computer chips in it? The oil light will come on if the key is on and the car is off. That sounds normal. Good Luck!

It's a 2003. Reset again and now it's working. May be the spare triggered something. Hopefully the gremlins stay out of her car from now on.
