I am 16, and i am new here. I just bought a 1991 dodge d250 cummins with an intercooler. I bought this truck to tow my 4 wheeling truck, which is an 86 chevy k10 stepside with a 6" lift 1 ton axles and 38" thornbirds. I love the truck, just wish it was a 4x4, but it was 2150 delivered 100 miles! I want to make it sit a little taller. I want to be able to run a 33" BFG mud-terrain. I plan to install a 3" body lift on it, and modify my intercooler lines. For the rear, i just plan to install a 2" block and some longer shocks. What are my options for the front? Will coils from a D350 do anything? I found some hard rubber spacers from summit racing.
I was planning on buying 4, and putting one on top and one on bottom of each of my coils to help support the weight of the cummins, because there hard rubber. I was hoping this would give me approximately 2" of lift in the front. What type of shocks should i use? Are there any other options for lifting the front of one of these trucks? Also, does anyone have any pics of a lifted D-series truck?
