i bought a new moulding from Chrysler for the edge of the carpet at my rear door. the orignal '96 moulding was a straight piece, about 1 1/2" wide by whatever the width of the door opening is. instead Chrysler gives me this new moulding and said the old piece was discontinued. it's completely different and the hole pattern is different as well. i'm going to have to drill new holes. problem is, i dont know how far back this new wider piece sits.
so if anyone has a van with a single door and this moulding, if you had snap shot or two of this moulding installed, it would really help me. :)

Can you line up the rear edge of the new molding with where the rear edge of the old moulding was on the floor?
Honestly that piece looks like what goes in the footwell when you open the side doors. I'll look at my '94...our vans are similar.

Stop, DO NOT drill any holes or mod it. Take that back to the dealer for a FULL refund. Go to http://www.glaval.com and get a REAL Chrysler molding from the conversion van manufactures inventory!

no no, not the bumper cover (tho i'd like a new front & rear :D), this piece is inside, holding down the carpet on the inside. lemme scan in a pic from my Chrysler manual.

no, the rear door(s).
i scanned in the pic from my factory Dodge manual. A is my original piece of carpet moulding (they call it a scuff plate). according to my local Dodge Parts Dept., that scuff plate was replaced with B. i'm just wondering if anyone has a pic of B installed so i know where to screw mine.
or if someone knows where i can get A, i'll just return B. :stk:

So, do you have barn-doors or one wide door on the rear of the van? The scuff plate could be in two sizes due to the door requirements.
I have both barn-doors on both of my B1500 & B2500 vans.

Is it #7 that you are looking for? That is the scuff plate.
Latest part# appears to be 5GK10DX9AC and there are still some in stock around the country.
