I have a 2000 van 1500 series and hope someone can help, On the heater blower control on high it works great but there is no blower working on low or medium, I checked all the fuses and there all fine. I don't know where else to look to fix the blower control. thanks in advance

I had this same problem on my 2001 Ram. Most likely it is your blower motor resistor. Very easy to replace and very common on a Dodge. I bought one off of ebay, but you can get them at your local dealership. I am not sure where this is located on a 2000 van, but someone here will know. Good luck!
Here are a couple of pics of what they look like:
1. Old on the left, new on the right.
2. Old on the left, new on the right.
3. This is where it mounts.

It's common on 98-03 Ram Vans for the connector and resistor getting hot and melting. The dealer has a "kit" to fix this.
The resistor is located under the hood attached to the HVAC housing.

The old resistor is of the older technology being a coil design. The newer ones are like credit card PCBs with mapped traces. These tend to last very long and reduce the heat build up in on general location.

Regarding the dealer kit - tell me more. So far no problems on my '98 2500, but if it does deciede to die I would like to know about the kit beforehand.
Did the old part(s) get superceeded to something new, so that you will automaticly get the new parts, or is this a case of you have to know about and specify the upgraded parts? Just wondering. Any additional info would be much appreciated. :gr_patrio

There is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on this and supposedly the dealer sells this connector and resistor kit to repair the problem. It consists of a new resistor connector pigtail that you solder in and a new resistor.
Talk to Damon at makeitmopar.com. They're a DT sponsor.

If that has a 4 pin connector than the connector package is # 5019941AA($45)
The resistor should be 4885456AA($16)
