Okay...I needs some guidance.

I just installed a new Holley 1945 1bbl. carb. on my '85 van with slant six. It starts, idles, and cruises fine. The problem is an off-idle hesistation and it does the same thing at highway speeds if you get completely off the gas and then press it down again.

It's not bad, but bad enought to bug me. I was thinking an accelerator pump adjustment, but I'm not a carburetor genius.

Thoughts? :help:

could it be a timing issue, not the carb? or vacumn leak?

Did it do this before the carb replacement?

Is this a rebuilt carb?

Nope..no hesitation with the old carb., but it wouldn't idle worth a darn.

Yep..it's a Holley brand reman. Other than the hesitation, it idles great, runs great down the road.
