Howdy All -

I've been a lurker here for a few months and am now finally getting around to becoming an official member.

My name is Pete and I'm from the Denver area. My pride and joy is a white '98 2500 cargo van - bought off Ebay about 3 years ago. LOVE IT!! I searched for a long time to find exactly (almost) what I wanted - 5.9, factory tow pkg, tilt/cruise pkg, and the nice cloth seats with the fold down arm rests. Plus its got some other nice options like pop out cargo door windows, chrome step bumper and chrome grill. I originally wanted rear windows but not side windows - but mine had both. Now that I've driven it for a few years I'm glad its got the side cargo door windows - visibility without them would sometimes be a problem.

Anyway, enough yaking. Just wanted to say HI and say this site is awesome.
P.S. - If anyone needs any service manual info specific to the 98's, I've got the Mopar service manual and would be happy to research or post anything you need.

Pete

Welcome Pete! Another beloved Dodge van owner. That '98 sounds like a nice package. My '77 that I'm fixing up is a cargo van as well...no winders except for the back doors that I'm converting to pop-outs.

Welcome Pete.
Post some pics when you can, we always like "looking" at cool vans.
Any plans for it? Shag carpet, water bed, disco lights? :D

Thanks everyone. As for the waterbed and disco light, um....no.

The only thing I have added so far is a rubber bed mat for the cargo area. Man, I searched forever before I finally found a nice pre-cut one made specifically for Dodges.

Pictures as soon as I get 10 posts.

It's gonna get harder and harder to find goodies for the Ram Vans. Since they aren't being built anymore. That's my prediction anyway.

Nate, I hear you on that! However, there's a bunch of stuff out there for the Sprinter now.

When the Sprinter price drops and has the diesel V6, I'll be apt to upgrade to the 10-passenger. BUT, that will be years from now since I love the Ram Van 12-passenger and roomy space inside. The mpg is the only down side.

Hey Van-Nut, welcome to the crew here.
