I have a /6 with a Holley 1945 carb that is in bad shape. I picked up this 1945 carb off eBay for $30. I am assuming that it is the next 1945 generation up from mine. It has 2 stems on it that are different. What are these stems? And would I have any trouble swapping this new one with my original?

The large tube is for the fuel bowl vent...it hooks up to the emissions canister (which is mounted on the frame; passenger side). Since you have a '75, you may not have a canister so you cap this tube off. Not sure what that other one is for. I have a 1945 carb. on my '85, but it doesn't have that vacuum provision.
Also you may or may not have a curb idle adjustment screw. This is because the late Holley 1945 carbs. used an idle stop solenoid that bolted to the side of the carb. If you don't have this screw, you will have to get another carburetor for your '75.
