Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if my '99 V6 is suppose to have 1 or 2 o2 sensors? I was able to locate the senor between the cat and the muffler, however, I cannot find the other o2 senor, which, I assumed would be located on one of the exhaust headers?

I remember that the '97 V8 5.2 had 2 sensors.

Maybe I'm overlooking?

thanks

It may be located in the converter...towards the front.

Hi Nate,

Found it, it was on the other side of the cat, towards the front, just like you said, thanks!

Yes, one locate just prior to the cat and one right after the cat. Both are faceing upward out of the pipe towards the vehicle under body.

It's been snowing here all day. :( I plan on working on the O2's this weekend, but it may not happen to clean them and reinstall them in this weather.

These O2 sensors are really in there good. Carefull taking them out if the budge. I've been soaking mine in penetrating oil off and on all week long. See the other thread about cleaning these things.

True, but the wind, chill and wet ground isn't fun to work on either. These vans sit high up off of the ground.
